Ourpalm Releases 2016 Semi-annual Report With ¥418million Net Profit

Ourpalm has released its 2016 semi-annual financial report. According to the report, Ourpalm’s operating income has reached ¥954 million yuan during the first half of 2016, a 108.65% increase from a year earlier. The net profit of the company’s common stock holders is ¥418million yuan, a 148.40% increase from a year earlier.

Ourpalm attributes the change of business income to 2 factors.

Firstly, games such as The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match OL have kept a stable performance. Secondly, since January 1, 2016, Tianma Shikong has joined has been included in company’s consolidated statement of income, its mobile game Quanming Qiji has an outstanding performance and contributed greatly to company’s income during the reporting period.  

Meanwhile, the report shows  that the operating income of The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match OL accounts for 50.38% of Ourpalm’s total game income. To be more specific, the income of The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match OL during the reporting period is ¥477,243,152.59 yuan, accounting for 50.38% of the game business income. Its newly registered users has reached 4.870 million, and the total purchase is around ¥1.172 billion yuan (The first quarter is ¥602,629,007 yuan and the second quarter is ¥570,082,272 yuan).

Ourpalm indicates that during the first half of 2016, the company has focused on advancing the strategy of globalization and the planning of VR.

1. Invested and shared in South Korea’s listed game company WEBZEN. As of the release date of the report, equity investment related issues are completed successfully.

2. Continued cooperation with UBISOFT in various business aspects. The company has been granted with the right of adapting MMORPG type mobile game of Assassin’s Creed Online: Alliance in Mainland China by UBISOFT.

In terms of VR, Ourpalm has invested in Beijing Leke VR Technology Co.,Ltd., a company mainly engaged in virtual reality offline experience platform; Beijing Orange VR Technology Co.,Ltd., a company mainly engaged in VR video distribution platform; and Happy Interactive (Beijing) Network Ltd., a company mainly engaged in virtual reality media platform service and game distribution.

Besides, Gamepoch, Inc and Sony Interactive Entertainment LLCO has reached cooperation on PS and PSVR trial projects. Ourpalm also takes up shares of the former company.
